Funding the Future: EU Opportunities for Farms and Rural Projects
Are you interested in discovering how EU funding could support the development of your farm, agribusiness or rural project?
This free, EU-funded event will explore funding opportunities available to farmers, rural businesses and organisations, including opportunities supporting rural innovation, sustainability, digitalisation and agritech investment.
Participants will gain practical insights into the EU funding landscape, discover useful resources and receive guidance to help them identify opportunities relevant to their ideas and activities. The session will also provide an opportunity to meet like-minded individuals and organisations, exchange ideas and explore potential collaborations within the agricultural and rural sectors.
Introduction by Maria Elena Muscat, Head of EU Projects at AcrossLimits
Maria Elena represents AcrossLimits, the sole Maltese partner in the PoliRuralPlus project, leading the Malta Pilot and coordinating engagement with national stakeholders. She brings over 18 years of EU funding experience across the public and private sectors and has worked extensively with European programmes, national authorities, managing authorities and European Commission bodies.
Main speaker: Rebecca Zammit, Director of Operations at AcrossLimits
Rebecca has extensive experience in EU-funded projects, supported by a BA in European Studies and a Master’s in European Public Affairs. Her long-standing career in European affairs has given her a strong understanding of EU funding and project implementation, as well as the positive impact European initiatives can have on individuals and communities.
This event forms part of a four-part series exploring practical tools and opportunities for farming, agritourism and rural business development. The series aims to demonstrate how innovation, technology and EU support can improve efficiency, unlock new opportunities and contribute to the long-term sustainability of Malta’s agricultural and rural sectors.
The event is open to farmers, rural businesses, SMEs, startups, researchers, public authorities, organisations and anyone interested in rural innovation, agritech and EU funding.
Participation is completely free.
